Domus Deus Vindobona

The neo-Gothic Votivkirche in Vienna was commissioned by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian in 1853, following the attempted assassination of his brother, Emperor Franz Joseph, as a gesture of gratitude to God for saving his life.
